iPhoneDevCamp Auckland went off without any casualties (again) on Friday night at Cactuslab towers. Fueled by Long Island Ice Teas, we coded and chatted for two hours before heading off to a Japanese dinner. In attendance were @sponno, @regen, @nzben, @tarlen, @sneak, @matthewbuchanan, @matarua and myself @avon. It looks like these are approximately monthly; if you’re in town get in touch. Next time we’ll have more snacks.

Apple have announced iPhone Tech Talks around the world. If the Leopard Tech Talks a couple of years ago are anything to go by, these should be packed with useful tips, and access to Apple employees capable of answering your most obscure questions!
I’d highly recommend signing up for the Sydney one. The PBF crew (Myself and Cody) should be attending (pending confirmation), and I know a couple of other kiwi’s have signed up!
So signup here for Sydney (it’s currently full, but they may add more dates):

Welcome! I thought i’d put some of the ideas i’ve wanted to get going into action, so here’s the first step in that. With the tight group of kiwi iPhone developers pumping out some of the best iPhone apps in the world, I though i’d setup this resource specifically for us to share some info, tips, news, and app releases with a local emphasis.
So the way I see this site working is that while not a free for all, it will be open to kiwi developers to write and post information at their leisure on any interesting iPhone related topic / news. So if you’re a kiwi developer, just register, flick me an email, and i’ll update your account so you can start contributing.
At some point it’d be great to organise a national bar camp style meetup to share code, tools, and tips over a shandy or two.
